Burns Night honours the iconic Scottish poet Robert Burns, who wrote the New Year's Eve anthem Auld Lang Syne. Join The Wellington Hotel to celebrate the poet's birthday with Scottish dancing, traditional bagpiping, a tipple of scotch and much more. With a Scottish owner and family in toe, there’s really no better place to enjoy the occasion.
Hosted in our Victorian Villa situated on the cliff top of Ventnor overlooking the English Channel, with a small and intimate boutique bar and roaring log fire. The Wellington Hotel is a 3* family owned B&B accommodation boasting Traveller Awards and a 5 Star Food & Hygiene rating and grand renovations.

What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than enjoying a delicious roast dinner?
If you’re looking for the comfort of a home cooked roast without actually turning on the oven, you’ve come to the right place.
We roast every Sunday of the year, our menu changes with the season but there’s always carefully selected meats from local farmers, locally grown vegetables, crispy roast potato’s with garlic and rosemary, dreamy cauliflower cheese and the perfect gravy.
When it comes to the summer months, there is no better way to enjoy your Sunday Lunch outside on our terrace with breath-taking sea views. For the days where the sun isn’t shining, you can enjoy laid-back dining inside the Restaurant. The Sunday lunch menu is home to a variety of options and choices of meat, including slow-roasted beef, roast fillet of sea bass and roast chicken. They’ve got pudding covered too, so don’t worry.
Please note: Our establishment is not suitable for individuals with walking difficulties or disabilities. Our building features multiple sets of stairs and steps, which are unavoidable due to its cliffside construction, and we do not have a generic ground floor level. Regrettably, we do not have a lift, and therefore, we are not wheelchair accessible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
